why do I love you? because I do

The lovelorn graffiti artist has been hard at work:

  1. Well, if I was the owner of the van, buildings, etc., I wouldn't be too thrilled with the person's method for expressing his feelings. I would advise him to use the phone or send letters. After a certain point, it stops being cute and starts to be creepy (if she remains uninterested) or selfish (if she is interested).

  2. that's true, but I prefer to look at many things only from my own perspective.

  3. Objectively it's awesome obviously.

  4. In this picture, I can't tell if that's the graffiti artist being crushed between the wall & the port-a-potty or just the hand of a corpse that's been thrown into it.

Since "objectively, its awesome obviously", please let me know the license plate number of your car and where its parked, so I can spray paint a valentine for my wife on the hood. I just know she'll be thrilled, as will all the passers by (maybe Liz will post a picture on her blog). And you'll get a brand new romantic look for your car. A win-win all around.

  6. also, freedom of expression > portable toilets

  7. For most real values between -infinity & +infinity,
freedom of expression = portable toilets.

  11. So, Elizabeth, is it working? Please let me know -- I need to know whether to go to Staples and buy more markers. They dry up surprisingly fast.

  12. Elizabeth, all this tagging of yours has gone too far!

  13. Tagging/graffiti? Granted, not so cool. Beyond "not cool" into irritating.

But tagging/graffiti as a metaphor for the desperate ways of love?
    Fascinating.

    It's like cigarettes in movies.
I never want to light one up,
but I get why they communicate "sultry" when Lauren Bacall does.

  14. That's the effect of Lauren Bacall, not of the cigarette.

  15. will it shatter the illusion if you ever happen to catch the guy who does it in the act...?
