Thanks, Tom.

Adding to my list of strangers-who-conspire-to-cheer-me-up-and-make-me-happy-on-an-everyday-basis, I order a used book on Amazon.com and get a message from the seller. Of course, I expect they are writing to say they don't have the book, but instead I get this:

Enjoy your writings on uschessonline and the video with Dr. Frank Brady was inspiring. Well done!! Your fan, xxxxxx xxxxxxx

My life is awesome.

I take this to mean you'd accept the nomination. :o)

That is a wonderful emotional lift. But I'm guessing that the used book you ordered was a chess book - in which case I'd stop short of the word "Awesome." If it was a non-chess book, then the response you got indeed qualifies as "Awesome." Which was it?

I accept all strange offers, on principle.

It was a chess book, but I vigorously dispute that this degrades its awesomeness.

If you bring me a burrito, I will wash it lovingly with an oshibori cloth and top it with a colorful drink umbrella!

Then I will sing you "Blackbird" in my fine baritone.

Then I will eat the burrito. Not, however, the umbrella. That, you may keep. As a memento.
