Yes, I met him at Cannes.
Was he carrying a stick of Mentos? Then he's probably South African.
Why? Was he smoking and sipping and downing espressos off camera?
I mean he doesn’t have the American machismo thing going on. His walk at first is a little silly, plus his handshake at the end is effeminate by American standards. Also he moves the chess pieces more smoothly than most American players.
