1. I got a great new game called Ticket to Ride. Originally Jonathan and I were going to spend a day by going to the big KMart at Astor Place, buying a board game, and playing it all afternoon, but then Jonathan didn't feel well, so it became an online game-ordering competition. We each ordered a game secretly and the best one wins. (with one extra condition that if we happened to order the same game we would immediately elope.) I forget what we bet, which is a shame.
After doing some research in Amazon's customer reviews, I made an excellent selection:
It's a simple-but-complicated game where you build railroads across America. 2-5 players, lasts 30 min-an hour (perfect!) It's almost as fun as chess!! Jonathan ordered Mousetrap. HAHAHAHAHAHA.
2. Bikram (hot) Yoga
I'm really bad at it, but it makes me feel strange and heavenly and fit and I like sweating more than I realized.
3. I'm taking drawing lessons from Jonathan. Yesterday I drew a container of salt, a bowl, and an axe!
4. I'm going to Arizona for 5 days after Amateur Team East to visit my friend Jean and do a teacher training workshop for 9 Queens.

The place to order board games online is Funagain Games.
Ticket to Ride looks fun. I agree with you--1/2 hour to 1 hour is just right.
I like to draw pictures with Logo.
I like to make the turtle do all that work, and it satisfies some high school urge to make string-art.
If you'd like to give it a try, you can download a free version of UCB Logo for whatever platform you use
at:
this site.
Then, as when computers were new, it's just tell the turtle to go FD x units and then turn rt y units (with the repeat command to save time) and before you know it, you're doing great images and fun geometry.
True, it's not the same as drawing one's own bowl or axe, but it's a delight in its own way.
I like Ticket to Ride, bought it for my brother's kids and we can all play...
9 Queens is very excited about your visit Elizabeth. Maybe we can do some yoga too?
#5 Jonathan
I started doing yoga too, it's da bomb.
The time has come to think prevention
of STDs and/or conception
Let us contemplate the ways in
Which to stop fertilization
The withdrawal thing is not effective
Latex too can be defective
Plus its awkward application
And your partner's reduced sensation
What's the point of a daily pill
To have protection but lose the will
And then we have a morning after sort
When there's consequences to abort
I want no devices in my body
Nix the diaphragm or IUC
I hear ligation works pretty good
But throws a wrench on motherhood
That leaves us with alternatives
To satisfy the carnal drives
I will have to ask my physician
If she knows some secret position.
i love the poems so much
