Anita: Big Genius

Anita was white in this position today after school against Henry Cali. What awesome move did she play?

If Black's king were on c8 instead of f8, genius potential drops to approach zero.

The move is queen g5. I wish I could make a move like that. If it were my game, I would almost never have considered it. I have a hick up in my game that won't allow me to give up my queen. My calculation could be wrong, but I think it's mate if black trades queen, pawn takes back and the rook comes over for mate. Well the white bishop can block for one move before mate. That's what I see but, could be wrong.

Of course this is not checkers, and we do not have to accept every trade offered. Also even if black does trade queens, he can probably follow up with something as simple as Re7 and be fine.

or... he could follow it up by taking the free rook

She's got the whole Kristen Stewart "brooding" thing going on in most of the photos I've seen... highly magnetic. Very intriguing. My guess is that she's newly transplanted here in the US and hasn't quite assimilated to the culture shock yet. I'm probably wrong of course. No reply expected.

Anyway, Rf6+ looks pretty devastating but I couldn't find any forced mates, just a big material net but it looks like the king escapes to b8 so maybe there's something better.
