I certainly hope your students do not read the Post.
this have to be the funnies thing I have read in a long time from a chess trainer lol,
"ok,ok, I'm sorry I said I wanted to crush your children..
lol lol you are just too funny!! lol
take care!, I will be back to read more of your funny stuff, great blog!, keep it up!
Not to beat a dead horse but I think the idea that kids (particularly middle school and high school kids) don't know about or read this blog is very naive. Kids decide to google IS 318 and chess or decide to google their teacher Ms. Vicary, they could very easily end up on this blog. This isn't to say that you should not exercise your right to free speech, just that there is not much privacy on line.
Her kids are too busy studying and working at chess to be reading internet blogs.
So you caved in against the pressure... *sighs* I was rooting for you to stand your ground against these over sensitized finger pointers. If they couldn't see that you had no intent of any actual "harm" and were just releasing all the built up tension, stress and excitement from the tournament then they're wound up way too tight...
Instead of an apology next time you should just tell say, "IN YOUR FACE!" (=
