Breaking Gossip*!

WGM Natalia Pogonina and Peter Zhdanov got married yesterday! Many congratulations and hopes that their honeymoon sees the completion of their eagerly awaited upcoming book.

In other gossip, I'm playing for Queens next year. Joining me will be Andrei Zaremba (pictured above, formerly of the Dallas Destiny) and Fritz Gaspard.

in your face, New York.

finally, a very funny Bond spoof (in French, subtitled, which only makes it funnier): OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies. You can watch it instantly on Netflix. Well, you can unless you cancelled your account for some really silly reason.

You also can't watch it (instantly) if you have a G4 Mac. But thanks for the recommendation - will add it to the queue.

That is one of the funniest movies in years. Jean Jardin plays a spoof 007esque agent down to the Saville Row style suits and that unique way he poses with the gun when he spins around. The film is even shot in a 1960ish look.

By Queens, I take it you mean the Queens team in the USCL.

Where is the Queens team playing from next season? I was told that the Polgar Center was closing, but I've been told a lot of things.

Good luck and congratulations on joining Queens. Tell Greg he never released a video on the finals from last season.

According to Wiki:
"An ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary is the highest ranking diplomat who represents his or her country. They are usually accredited to a foreign sovereign or government, or to an international organization, to serve as the official representative of their country."

I'd be inclined to give that a big WTF too.

If you liked Amélie, Paths of Glory, or Saving Private Ryan (all French movies, no?), check out "A Very Long Engagement."
