I don't watch Fox News, obviously, but they have this commentator, Glenn Beck, who appears to be just out of control. Watch this video where he calls Obama racist:
"This president has exposed himself as a guy over and over and over again who has a deep-seated hatred for white people ... this guy is, I believe, a racist."
and then, if you share my sense that he is an irresponsible journalist, sign this petition asking companies to withdraw their advertising from his show. thanks.

I think it’s an offensive thing to say regardless of the speaker, but Fox and Glenn Beck seem to make a habit of false and inflammatory speech and childish name-calling, which makes it worse.

I too think he "may" be a racist. Why would you be a member of a racist church for (20?) years and hire a communist racist as a czar and how about Beergate? As they say "apple doesn't fall far from tree".
Whoopie Goldberg was interviewed in the past week or so on BBC America. She had some interesting things to say about the Rev. Wright. Racist president? No. President who has experienced racism? Yes.

Glenn Beck is an entertainer. He plays to an audience that likes to hear the things that he says. Some may even believe what he says to be true. I'm sure that Beck doesn't believe most of what he says, he just chuckles all the way to the bank.
Glenn Beck's got issues of his own to deal with.

Well, I guess it's time for me to be up front. I've been hanging back for a while, but I feel the need to stick up for Glenn somewhat. I have a soft spot for him. A little over the top at times, but really not by that much, from what I've seen.
I read conservative blogs almost exclusively, too. I'm more of a blog reader, not into TV (of course, not having one makes it easy).
Having said that, I suppose many of you will now make a point of playing the most violent gambits you can think of against me if we meet. :)
